Consultant

Here, you will be in charge of developing analyses, providing project management support, and effectively carrying out tasks under the guidance of an Engagement Manager.

Senior Consultant

The role of Senior Consultant is aimed at professionals with advanced operational insurance business or consulting experience in a relevant area. As a Senior Consultant, you provide specialized expertise and are in charge of leading project workstreams or smaller projects. On top of that, you will be required to analyze customer needs and develop innovative concepts, as well as actively contribute to pitches and day-to-day operations.

Principal Consultant

Our Principal Consultant positions are designed for individuals with the extensive insurance business and project experience, as well as strong leadership skills and international background. This role involves close collaboration with Engagement Managers to lead ongoing projects, coach and mentor more junior team members, monitor activities and support key account management and project acquisitions.

Engagement Manager

Our Engagement Manager position targets professionals with major insurance business knowledge as well as significant consulting and leadership experience. As Engagement Manager, you guide and manage your internal team to ensure all set targets are achieved. This role involves working on sales pitches under partner guidance as well as delivering content project leadership. Our Engagement Managers are experienced professionals who show excellent client management and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Partner

The position of Partner at Allianz Consulting is aimed at long-term professionals in the insurance and consulting business. With senior management expertise and strong leadership skills, our Partners are committed to supporting the overall achievement of Allianz Consulting’s objectives and results. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice area, providing strong support to Engagement Managers and ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of projects in line with customer expectations. On top of that, Partners are expected to actively initiate new business opportunities and consulting contracts, as well as maintain and build relationships with Allianz stakeholders and key clients.

What did you do before you joined and what was your motivation to join Allianz Consulting?

Before joining Allianz Consulting, I worked at a software startup as a Junior Manager in the International Expansion team, focusing on sales and business development. I worked across different markets, based in Munich while also traveling to London to collaborate with the team onsite. This experience taught me how to navigate dynamic environments and gave me a strong foundation for international collaboration.

My motivation to join Allianz Consulting was the opportunity to work on interesting projects in an evolving industry, combined with the company culture, international environment, and development opportunities.

What is your current position and which role did Allianz Consulting play in your career?

I am currently working as a Senior Consultant. Looking back, I have had a rewarding and ongoing journey – starting as a Junior Consultant and growing step by step into my current role.

Along the way, I worked on a variety of projects across strategy, IT and data analysis, audit, procurement, and project management, which helped me continuously broaden my experience and perspective. Allianz Consulting has played an important role in my career by giving me the opportunity to explore, learn, and continuously develop.

What advice would you give someone who wants to join Allianz Consulting?

Bring curiosity and a growth mindset. At Allianz Consulting, you will find an environment where you can continuously develop your skills, learn from colleagues, implement innovative ideas, and work on interesting projects.

What did you do before you joined and what was your motivation to join Allianz Consulting?

I joined Allianz Consulting as a Junior Consultant shortly after completing my Master’s in Management. Before that, I gained experience in several areas, including project management, digital marketing, business development, and digital transformation.

Given my cross-functional background and strong interest in new technologies, I realized that a career in in-house consulting would best suit my goals. That’s when I discovered the opportunity at Allianz Consulting in the Technology & Innovation pillar, which I joined in October 2023.

What is your current position and which role did Allianz Consulting play in your career?

I am currently a Senior Consultant at Allianz Consulting. Throughout my journey, I have taken on different project roles, including PMO, solution designer, and product owner, within one of the largest transformation projects in Allianz.

What I particularly value is the flexibility to find projects that match my expertise and interests, as well as the platform it provides for individuals with diverse skill sets to contribute and grow. Beyond projects, Allianz Consulting supports professional development through a wide range of learning opportunities, including GenAI trainings, LinkedIn Learning, and upskilling programs leading to industry-recognized certifications.
